NZGA Submission: Te Ara Whakahou – Ahumahi Ngahere | Draft Industry Transformation Plan
Reports & Submissions
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), alongside the New Zealand Forestry Service, has sought consultation on their draft Forestry and Wood Processing Industry Reform Plan. This Plan outlines the means for Aotearoa to lower emissions in relation to the forestry industry.
Geothermal has a well-established relationship with the wood processing industry within New Zealand, with a number of companies reducing their carbon footprint by opting to use geothermal in their processes (e.g. Nature's Flame).
NZGA's Geoheat Action Group has prepared this submission in order to contribute the geothermal voice to MPI's consultation. We look forward to continuing our strong links with the forestry industry as we all work together towards reducing carbon emissions.
