NZGA Submission: Electricity Market Measures

The NZGA has recently submitted a comprehensive set of measures to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as part of their consultation on transitioning to an expanded and highly renewable electricity system.

In the submission, we emphasise the importance of maximising the potential of geothermal energy as a key component in achieving New Zealand's ambitious renewable energy targets. Our focus areas include expanding Aotearoa's Geoheat potential, as well as ensuring regulatory requirements enable geothermal development whilst protecting this taonga.
